About Me
Thanks for taking the time to visit this page. I like all my site visitors and potential clients to know a bit about my background so that you feel more comfortable with me. I graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology at London University with particular interest in generalised anxiety disorder and how this was connected with depression. I then decided to train as an Integrative Transpersonal Counselling Psychotherapist for five years at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education CCPE with a view to private practice. I have been practising for over 20 years and have treated a wide and diverse set of clinical issues. Over the years I have also trained groups for the Ministry of Defence facilitating workshops such as Controlling Stress in the Workplace, Equality and Diversity for Managers and Assertiveness in the Workplace. I am also a mother of two young adult children.
My Therapeutic Approach
I offer short-term solution focused, in-depth analytic therapy and llifestyle coaching.
As an Integrative Transpersonal counselling psychotherapist I embrace an attitude towards the practice of psychotherapy that affirms the inherent value of each individual. Using a blend of psychology, psychodynamics, cognitive and humanistic/transpersonal approaches, my practice offers a calm and non-judgemental space. Building upon a relationship of clinical expertise and client/therapist trust, I can help you to resolve painful feelings, banish unhelpful behaviours and live life with renewed curiosity.
In addition to talking therapy, I am also experienced in using Visualisation and Sand Tray techniques to help you discover your hidden depths. I can also help you to find meaning behind recurring dreams using Guided Imagery.
If you have any specific questions that you would like to discuss with me regarding my practice, please do not hesitate to contact me via telephone or emailed message. I aim to answer all messages within 24 hours.
